Girls Minors Grades 3 & 4 The girls get their first look at softball. They are introduced to a slightly more competitive level of ball that helps them to learn what it means to be a part of a team. They are coached in a positive way that encourages them to try their best and work together as a team. Coaches teach the fundamentals of hitting, fielding and base running and encourage enthusiasm and good sportsmanship. All parents are encouraged to help with the team. (Machine pitch.)
Girls Majors Grades 5 & 6 Fundamentals are the key to successful team play. Tryouts divide the teams evenly and the regular season focuses on improving skills and having fun. Good sportsmanship and cheering remain important factors that promote a great fun and family atmosphere at the ball field. The season culminates with a tournament to crown a champion.
Girls Seniors Grades 7&8 The girls compete with teams from other leagues around the area. The teams are made up with all levels of skill and focus on team play and good sportsmanship. The girls get to meet and make friends with many of their future classmates. Its a great way for them to be a part of a team and work on their softball skills. |
