RULES
A Ball:
- Games will be 4 complete innings or 50 minutes, which ever comes first.
- All players will play in the field each inning.
- There are no rules regarding defensive positioning of your players. Although, it is strongly suggested that they are spread out to deter scrums for the ball.
- All players will bat each inning. The batter gets 5 swings to hit the ball, after five swings the batter walks to first base.
- A batter and the base runners can only advance one base each hit or walk.
- Bases will be 30 feet apart.
- A tee will be used for batting, please no coach pitch. A coach from the team batting will wait until the defense is ready and then place the ball on the tee for the batter to hit.
- The offensive team can have a coach at every base and 3 coaches from defensive team can be positioned in the field.
- There are no outs recorded and the last batter in order can run all the bases.
- No score will be kept by the parents or coaches.
AA Ball:
- Games will be 4 complete innings or 50 minutes, which ever comes first.
- All players will play in the field each inning.
- Defensive team can have two pitchers and four infielders with the remaining players positioned behind the base paths.
- Bases will be 40 feet apart.
- All players will bat each inning.
- An offensive coach will pitch 3 balls to the batter. If the batter does not hit the ball the tee will be used. Please limit the pitches to 3 to keep the game pace moving.
- There are no strike-outs.
- Bunting is not allowed and the ball must move at least 10 feet from home plate to be base hit.
- Outs are recorded and the player thrown or tagged out must sit down. With Rule 5, this means there can be as many as 10 outs per inning.
- The offensive team can have a coach at every base and 3 coaches from defensive team can be positioned in the field.
- No score will be kept by the parents or coaches
Rules for AAA Ball:
- Games will be 4 complete innings or 60 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes for field time), which ever comes first.
- All players will play in the field each inning.
- Defensive team can have one pitcher and four infielders with the remaining players positioned behind the base paths.
- Bases will be 40 feet apart.
- All players will bat each inning.
- An offensive coach will pitch 6 balls to the batter from the pitching machine (Machine will be set at 40 mph). If the batter gets 3 strikes (swinging), the batter will be considered out and must sit down. If a batter fails to get a hit after 6 pitches, the batter will be considered out and must sit down (A batter cannot strike out on a foul ball, they will receive additional pitches until they strike out swinging or looking).
- Bunting is not allowed and the ball must move at least 10 feet from home plate to be base hit.
- Outs are recorded and the player thrown or tagged out must sit down. With Rule 5, this means there can be as many as 10 outs per inning.
- The offensive team can have a coach at every base and 2 coaches from defensive team can be positioned in the field.
- Runners may take as many bases as they want on a hit but must stop advancing bases when the ball reaches the glove of any infielder.
Additional notes: Teams should show up a half hour before each game. The batting cage will be dedicated to machine pitch for teams to warm up before each game.
