Minors: (3rd & 4th Grade) This is the first chance the players get to hit a ball thrown by another player. For some third graders this is a hurdle in baseball. Coaches know this, and develop pitchers while being cognizant of the challenges of hitters. There will be a tournament at the end of the season. Majors: (5th & 6th Grade) This league is set up to hone the skills learned in minors against teams from our league, and also inter-league games with other associations. Balks, and lead-offs come into play and pitching distance is increased. Seniors (7th & 8th Grade with participation from freshmen not playing for school team*) The senior league is set up to give our young men the opportunity to tune up for high school ball. The rules, base paths, pitching distance, and lead offs reflect a more competitive style of baseball. (*High school freshmen are allowed in seniors if they are not on the school teams) Click here for division rules. |
